James J. Reid, MD, ABOS, FAAOS, is a dual fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and extremity specialist, serving the community of Culver City in Los Angeles, California, with the highest level of skilled care for his patients.

Dr. Reid earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He attended the University of California- San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine's Post-Baccalaureate Program where he graduated with Provost's Honors.

He was then awarded a partial medical school scholarship at the world-renowned Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York where he received his MD with an emphasis in Surgical Research. Following his graduation from medical school, he matched at the prestigious Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at LAC + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He also completed a Sports Medicine/Arthroscopy Fellowship at The Palo Alto Medical Foundation and a Foot/Ankle Surgery Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Throughout his career, he has earned numerous awards and distinguished positions, has authored countless orthopaedic publications/book chapters and spoke at several national/international surgical conferences. Dr. Reid maintains several memberships in professional orthopaedic surgery organizations. He’s also a current fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).

At Dr. Reid’s practice, his expertise brings the highest level of care, offering a broad complement of orthopedic and sports medicine non-operative and operative treatments: including injections, joint replacement arthroplasty, joint arthroscopy as well as fracture care.

His many years of training and experience offer accurate diagnoses and treatments for all upper extremity injuries and foot/ankle injuries. Dr. Reid was a fellow team physician for the Raiders and spent time working with intercollegiate and Olympic athletes. In addition, his critical analytical orthopaedic expertise has allowed him to serve as an expert witness to help injured patients.
